Fylamynt introduces “SlackOps” for DevOps and SREs
Use the Fylamynt SlackOps feature for running automations and workflows without leaving your favorite Slack channel.
Slack is an amazing collaboration tool and one of the things we love about it is that it is a powerful platform that allows for easy integrations and extensions to functionality.
If you are a die hard Slacker, you will be happy to know that Fylamynt’s integration with Slack allows you to run quick Fylamynt automations or workflows without leaving your favorite Slack channel.
You can continue to use Slack as a war room for investigating incidents generated by PagerDuty, Datadog, etc., and run ad hoc tasks and actions without breaking the flow of your investigations to jump to another console. Results of these actions would also be displayed to you in Slack.
Once the slack app has been installed, the following Slack slash commands can be run from Slack channels that are configured with the Fylamynt workspace:
/fylamynt workflow run → Use this command to run any of the workflows that exist in your Fylamynt cloud account. The output of this command will be an execution ID that you can reference to check the status of a workflow using the next command.
/fylamynt execution status → Use this command to check execution status of any workflow with the execution ID.
/fylamynt help → Use this command to view the complete help menu.
With this integration, you don’t have to mess around with pivoting from one console to another in the course of your Slack channel investigations and collaborations.
